Since we were not able to have a special celebration in June to commemorate the conclusion of such a wonderfully successful VBS, the Christian Education Committee would like to incorporate that celebration into the beginning of Church School, which starts on Sunday, September 12, 2010.
Come out and help us “Blast Off” into Church School at 9:30 in the Fellowship Building. There will be music from VBS and light refreshments. All church members and Church School classes are encouraged to attend this special celebration.
Also, during the worship service, the Christian Education leaders will be installed for next year and those who served last year will be recognized.

August 22, 3-7 pm
Fun, games, enjoyable conversation, swimming, and other camp activities await the family and friends of First Presbyterian Church at the annual Back to School Picnic. This event, held at the picnic shelter closest to the swimming pool promises a great afternoon for us to gather and enjoy fellowship and fun together.
Following the traditional grilled hamburgers and hotdog supper (with ice cream, I presume), a brief vesper service will close the activities.
Come and enjoy this great afternoon with others in your church family.
